Our resident expert perfumer may look a little madcap but what Tim doesn't know about perfume just ain't worth knowing. QUESTION : Can the smell of my perfume change because of what I might eat?

The short answer to this is yes. However, it is important to note that it is not the perfume that is changing but your skin. You know how you can smell garlic on a person if they have eaten too much the previous day, well, your skin exudes odors all the time which are dependent on your diet but you may only notice this with particulaly strong smells (like the garlic!). So suddenly eating a lot of spicy food will affect the way your skin smells naturally. This in turn mixes with the smell of a fragrance on your skin to create the overall smell which is why sometimes it seems as if your fragrance has changed.
